The names and virtues of Madinah Al-Munawwarah
Madinah Al-Munawwarah, the holy city of Muslims was founded and established in the ancient era by the sons of Noah. It is often termed as the city of Prophet Mohammed ﷺ (Allah’s messenger) this city is associated with diverse names. Some of the major names allotted to the same include:
- ♣ Al –Madinah – the city was named Madinah when Rasul Allah ﷺ visited the same. Rasul Allah ﷺ resided in Madinah Al-Munawwarah for a long time. Apart from this, he was also buried in the same land.
- ♣ Tabah – Tabah is the word that is taken from Al-Tayyib meaning purity. According to Prophet Mohammed ﷺ, Madinah was a city free from sins, Shirk, evilness, and other unacceptable deeds. That is why it is often known as Tabah.
- ♣ Yathrib – in the very inception of Arab countries, the son of Noah founded Madinah and started residing there as this group of people was fascinated by the natural beauty of the same. Besides, the successors of Noah, the place were the main inhabitant of Jews, Al-Aws, and other Arabians.
Madinah Al-Munawwarah comprises numerous assets and virtues and its rank was praised by Allah جل و عز and Rasul Allah ﷺ. There is no doubt that Madinah has captured the hearts and souls of thousands of Muslims residing in different corners of the world. In the ancient period, when the first crop yield was grown in Madinah, the people used to bring it to Rasul Allah ﷺ. Taking the crops in the hands, Rasul Allah ﷺ used to thank Allah جل و عز and pray for the further success of Madinah. After that, he used to call the youngest person from the group and hand over that yield to the same. A large number of people used to visit Madinah to seek the blessings of Prophet Mohammed. Moreover, the people continued visiting the city to commemorate Rasul Allah ﷺ by praying in the mosque and following the path directed by him.
