Before 1995, it was thought that there are 340 bones in the human skeleton.However in 1995, a scientific institute proved that the internal ear subsists of 10 joints. Thus, 20 joints were added, and the discovery was made that the human body consists of 360 bones. Scientists have recently concluded that the human body consists of 360 joints a fact that the Prophet (ﷺ) had stated over 1400 years back.
The human being has a composite body which is made up a lot of things but among them, one of the essential element is that it is made up of bones which have numerous joints. According to Scientists that joints exist at the place where bones meet. Joints hold the body together and allow the rigid skeleton to move. Theses joints are broken down into three categories.
The first are those joints which are fixed and allow no movement at all like the skull.
The second are joints which are slightly movable like those between the vertebrate and the spine and only move a small amount.
The third are called synovial joints, and they are movable joints which contain lubricating liquid like the ball and socket in the hip.
Without these joints movement would not be possible and humans would be physically challenged if any of the joints were to get damaged. Thus, the existence of joints is an important aspect of the human body.
Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

It is amazing that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) explained the number of the body joints so accurately, even at that time when no one had any idea about human genetics. Even now in the 21st century, several people still do not know the number of joints in their bodies, along with many professors of orthopaedics. But many of them have concluded that indeed there are 360 bones in the human body.
Thus, we can conclude that the Prophet (ﷺ) over 1400 years back did indeed get divine revelations, and it is because of these revelations that statements made at that time are being proved to be true today. Thus, we as Muslims should utilise these joints given to us by God Almighty to worship him and thank him for all his bounties on us.
