Hajj and Umrah
There are two types of pilgrimages in Islam: Hajj and Umrah. Hajj, also known as the great pilgrimage, is one of the five pillars of Islam and compulsory for every Muslim man and woman to perform, given that he/she can afford it and is physically fit enough to do it. Umrah, also known as the lesser pilgrimage, is not compulsory, yet highly recommended. Many people do the Umrah first as it can be done at any time of the year and is less expensive, this type of Umrah is called al-Umrat al mufradah as it is independent of Hajj. The other type of Umrah, Umrat al-tammatu, is performed with the Hajj, in the sense that the rituals are performed right before the Hajj.

There are also many types of discounts for students, families with children and people travelling in larger groups. Besides that you can choose a premium or economy travel and the type of hotel you would like to stay at. For Umrah done separately, prices also differ depending on the time of the year you choose to do it at.
