Ramadan comprises the regular prayer recitation, chanting Quran, fasting the entire day, and the introspection. According to the Islamic beliefs, Qu’ran was received by Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) in this holy month. The fasting is one of the most significant rituals of Ramadan that generally begins before the dawn and concludes at the time of sunset. The meals consumed before the dawn are termed as ‘Sufur’. Fasting is one of the five essential pillars of Islam and is considered as a mandatory act for the Muslims. Besides fasting, Muslims are necessitated to pray the five times ‘Namaaz’ in the mosque and recite Quran during Ramadan.
